HOW IT'S MADE
Step 1:
Post-industrial waste is collected from local garment factories.
Step 2:
This waste is ground down into fibers and stored in bales.
Step 3:
These fibers are then re-spun into yarn.
Step 4:
This yarn is then warped into thread.
Step 5:
These threads are then woven into the fabric used to make your bag.
Step 6:
The cottonseed leftover from this process is blended with other natural waste (including coffee pulp, garden clippings and cardboard) to create a rich compost. Coffee growers in the highlands of Guatemala collect this compost to use as a natural fertilizer to feed their coffee crops. Who would have thought upcycled denim could help grow the world's finest coffee?
